Hellou people!

Time if running fast. I just feel that were summer warm and nice. Summer in now over and autum is here. There is now more than 3 months that there we were in Altensteig. In Stuttgart is in this moment raining and it's cold. I would like to here news about you. What you are doing? How are you feeling? And are those couples still together? ( Valentina and Seve.. and you now what i mean :O)

Hallo people! I have arrival yesterday at home 13.oo so my home trip was not long :P Yesterday I was only sleeping and relaxing. Because today I'm going again back to Altensteig, to kids camp. :O It's very nice to go to kids camp. Still my thoughts and memories are still on exchange. I hope that you have arrival safely at home. I hope that you will registered here in yource... and write your memories. lot's of hugs to everyone, I miss you! <3

Good bye party!

We had evaluation and it was very emotional to make: "Angel walk" Were were have walking eyes close through to the human tunnel. Then people could hug you and whisper some nice memories for you ear. There was also that "Flower memories"... Inside the flower you can wrote what you are feeling. Then you close the paper flower, put in the water and waite that is open. It was vey beatyfull.
Cause Portugal people have to leave Sunday mornig was Saturday last day when we was hole group together. In Saturday eveng we had possibility saw those presentations what we have done hole last week. Feeling was awesome when hole group have show what they have do. Last presentation was ExpresiveArt and that Dance show was great! Thanks for all how were that group.

After presentations we have spend time together. We were Dancing and talking ;)

8.8.2008 what a wonderfull day!

Time was going very fast, i just feel that we have came:) So In morning we had Openspace. That mean that people can suggest what they want to do- It can be almoust everything. Then you write it in the list: When, where, how and you is responsible of that. Then you look were you want to go and participate. People were taking pictures, making some trust games, cleaning toilets, driving down to the hill whit the cart. Many funny thinks, it was great afternoon. Then ofter the lunch we had to finish our presentation for tomorrow. lLast national evening, and that was from Latvia! There was great mucic, lovely songs, touching movie and nice time together. :)

Trip to Tübingen!

Tübingen is about 1 hour away from Altensteig. Tübingen is university city and that's why there is lot's of young people and great atmosphere. :) Firs we have time to go walking in city. Some people prefer go more shoping. Other ones liked more eat ice-cream and look old buildings. At 16.00 o'olock we have great possibility to go boat trip. Boat was not normaly boat, it have look like those which are in Venetsia. :)

Day was very nice, warm and full with laught!

Trip to Tübingen:

Thursday, our group made a trip to Tübingen. First of all, in the morning we went at a bus station in Altenstieg and we started our trip at eleven a.m .
It was a very nice and comfortable bus. We had some music and saw very beautiful landscapes. It was great. When we arrived in Tübingen it was 12:00. Tobi told us some instructions about the town and what we can visit
We were relay exited and went shopping; we climbed up to an old café which was very interesting and full of beautiful sight sear pint . We had 3 hours of free time. The whole group went near the river. Tobi told us that we will cross the river with boats.

At first we were relay scared, but afterwards we had fun.
It was so nice and beautiful. When we came back we had one hour free time and at 5 o’clock we met at a restaurant near the river and there we ate and drink something. Tobi told us that the bus would be at the station at seven and if we wanted to buy something and visit more things we had one hour left. All of us bought lots of things and made some pictures and after that we went to the bus station. We came back to Altenstieg, where we were very tired but very happy too, because we had seen new town, made some pictures and bought a lot of clothes. It was a great trip... We had FUN !

Day 6

We have start our day whit workshops- after the lunch we be divede in three different groups. Our task was to go in to the town and change apple to something better. Also we had some question wish we have to answear. It was very nice, funny and also we were suprice that German people are so helpfull and always so happy! Wery nice experience!
Italy National evening. So good pasta! and ofcourse all food what good. We have eat outside it was nice.

In morning we have start whit the mini-workshops. Sylvi had mini workshop whit diiferens kind of teamtasks. There was team building games. It was funny and also you have to use you imagination that you can slove the tasks. After the mini-workshops we had too horry to the townhall of Altensteig because we had there meeting whit the mayor. We have saw presentation of the Altensteig, it was interested. We had also possibily to visit the tower and saw there the nice view :) . National evening was from Romania.Great program, good mucik and Romania national dance! The food were offered in tent. The atmosphere was full whit feeling. Evening was full Smile and laughing!

Workshops have started.. and everyone have been excited to see what they can do. Weather was little bir rainy, but still it was no problem! In morning we had also Awareness Discution. We has 3 groups. First we had to think what is "Europa" and write the thinks/ ideas in poster. After the "Europa discustions" We had to make small theater and the thema: " How we see Europa? What is for you important, is there something what we want so change?. It was very intersted workshop and make people realize that we a lucky that we can live here.
In Evening was National from Estonia and there was lot's of different kind of food. I have liked, it was quite similar than in Finland! :O) Also we had possibily to taste Chocolade from Estonia, that was great! The Estonian group had also funny quiz.

More games :) One game was were we have empty paper of eatch of participants. And we have paint that "new" person how we see him/her. Papers have to always change, funny!
In Evening was German National evening. Food german national food meat and potatoes. Dessert we had great "Apfelstrudel".. nam! The program was intersted. We have get know important and famous German people. We have saw interestes Power point presentation. Also we have look pictures of German citys. In the night we have play some great german game. Name was "topfschlagen".. You have to find the chocolade eyes closed. 'Typical German!..

In morning we have start whit name games and then Nastya had told us what is the begin of smile camp and wish are the expectations for all of us. After the lunch we have start to work in your workshops and talk our coals. The First National evening was from Portugal and the evening was full whit suprises! Carla have prepared saudage whit alcoholl and also we have taste extra salty fish! :P

First evening at the Smile camp in Altensteig:

People arrived in Altensteig aroud 18.00 o'clock. Atmosphere was expecting and we have some name games together. In evening we have barbecue, nam! We have also share the rooms and get to know outr room mades. Day was very long and it was nice to go to sleep. :)

Only two days left till the smile camp in Altensteig will start. Here the descriptions of the workshops we will run the whole time. As the outcome of the workshops is mostly up to the participants we can be excited to see what they will do. Expressive art workshop: In this workshop the participants will have the opportunity to create/learn choreography that will involve some dancing moves and some theatre acting (something that everyone can learn, just for amateurs like us =) .We will come with some suggestions about the music we could pick and the choreography but it will be up to the participants to come with something new if they want to. We will have to create some costumes to. Movie workshop: The main idea of the Movie making workshops is creating a new amateur short film. The main topic of the movie will be "European awareness". Subtopic, style and subject of the movie will be defined by the participants of the SMILE camp. Workshops suppose to help people to realize their idea into life that's because they will be more practical then theoretical – 'learning by doing' is our motto. During the workshops the basic knowledge of composition and filming techniques will be introduced as well as elementary cutting tools will be learned. Creative expression: In this workshop you will have the possibility to try all kinds of handicrafts, like drawing, taking pictures, shaping, colouring, painting and everything else. The main idea is, by making all kind of handicrafts, to allow youngsters show others what they understand with the word „Europe“ and how do they see their Europe. Europe Magazine: In this workshop we will create a magazine in which we express our view of Europe. The main topic is “European awareness”, the subtopics and methods used will be chosen by the participants. This can be interviews, photo stories, description of countries and stereotypes, poetry etc. The main idea of the workshop is to learn more about your own and others point of view of Europe and having a documentation of this in form of a magazine at the end. You will have a lot of room for realizing your own ideas and using your own creativity during the workshop. infos on our location you will find on www.altensteig.de

SMILE was born in September 2007 when People from 8 Youth Organizations met for a first Visibility Visit in Stuttgart. Here the Idea of our Training in Sweden and the SMILE Camps Altensteig and Italy were born.
